  • Miter saw Also works: Circular saw
  • Drill Also works: Impact driver

Everyday tools (hammer, tape measure, square) are assumed.

Build steps

  1. 1

    Step 1: Table length cuts

    Step 1 of 5

    Cut 9 2x6s to the desired table length. 6' is a good length for a 6 person table (~2ft per person for each side).
    Miter saw is easiest for these cuts.

    Step 2: Battons

    Step 2 of 5

    cut 3 battons from 2x4

    29.5" long with 31 degree miter

  3. 3

    Step 3: Cut legs

    Step 3 of 5

    Cut legs from 2x6s

    cut 6 31" lengths with 33 degree miters

  4. 4

    Step 4: Seat Supports

    Step 4 of 5

    cut 3 2x6s 5'

  5. 5

    Step 5: Assemble

    Step 5 of 5

    build sets of legs and support. Join with 3/8" x 3 1/2" carriage bolts
    screw down seats and table top
